We examine the role of the novel low-dimensional materials and molecular junctions in the properties of normal-superconductor hybrid structures. We perform the necessary numerical calculations using the EQuUs framework (see details at http://eqt.elte.hu/equus/home) developed by our group. EQuUs enables us to describe large-scaled multiterminal Josephson junctions and Cooper-pair splitting devices on a microscopic level, which is be unique in the corresponding literature. Hence, our work would provide support for the experimentalists to increase the efficiency of their quantum devices and discover the explanation for the unresolved experimental observations. Recently I have benn involved in the following research works:
* We studied the magnetic oscillations in graphene based Josephson junctions. According to our findings the oscillation pattern of the critical current depends on the geometry of the scattering region
* We also studied the SQUID-like oscillations of the critical current in electrostatically gapped bilayer graphene Josephson junctions
* We studied the transport properties of molecular, multiterminal Josephson junctions.
We expect that our work will initiate new directions in experimental research and engineering.
